Taught by Ellyn Rivers of blue.child!
About the Class:
In this exclusive workshop with Ellyn from Blue Child, you will get the chance to marble, finish, and assemble TWO pairs of earrings of your own. You will be able to choose from 4 different earring shapes. Marble the same pattern on both sides, or do two contrasting patterns! You will also get to marble some bonus postcards as we wait for the earrings to dry. You will learn some marbling techniques used by the masters and have fun experimenting on your own. All the materials will be included, and you’ll leave with a list of materials you would need to continue marbling at home.
About the Instructor:
Ellyn is a queer artist and educator from Elgin, TX. She makes one-of-a-kind marbled paper earrings, journals, and other paper goods. She believes that art is a powerful way to better understand ourselves, build community, deepen our understandings of social issues, and empower youth to make change. Though she has worked in many different mediums, paper marbling has captured her heart with its therapeutic nature, rich history, and for the joy it brings to people when they make a piece for the first time.
